Wow! Right on the heels of Inifinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 E3 presentation, my Brother sends me a link to a Gamespot.com article posted on May 13, 2009 by Tor Thorsen, listing some possible details about Call of Duty 7.

According to the article, a glance at one of Treyarch’s animator’s LinkedIn resumes [name withheld], the new addition to the Call of Duty series is listed as “in production”. Also, super publisher Activision is actively looking to licence music from the Vietnam War-era, as well as Cuban, African, and Soviet tunes, says Ryan Anderson at “That Videogame Blog”.

This, combined with the supposed late 2010 release of COD7 and the alternating releases between Inifinity Ward and Treyarch would lead one to believe that the rumors are indeed valid.

If Infinity Ward somehow fails to deliver with Modern Warfare 2, at least we won’t have to wait long before we’ll be dumped into the muggy, swamp infested jungles of Vietnam and who knows what else.
